Improve how the assessment tool reflects the diversity of disability.
We want to improve how the assessment tool can identify the diverse needs of disabled people. We also want the tool to work well for New Zealanders, recognising their culture or age, and other characteristics.
The tool needs to help assessors understand disabled people’s specific situations and needs to ensure that the funding and support each disabled person receives is fair and consistent.
